About this course
Intermediate Part 1&2:
Suitable for whom? An intensive course for those learners who have completed the Foundation level or for those who are familiar with the main language patterns. Also, for learners who wish to complete the Intermediate level Part 1 and 2 in a year
Which course book? Cwrs Canolradd (South Wales version)
Which units? 1-19
Number of sessions? 32
Course format? 3 hours a week in a virtual class and also independent learning online at home between each lesson. (The independent learning is a compulsory part of the course)
Teaching method? Online
What will you learn?:
- Revising and extending your speaking, reading, listening and writing skills
- Express an opinion (I think that…)
- Complain about something (discuss never and ever)
- Give help (revise the short form future tense)
- Accepting and refusing an invitation and denying (revise prepositions)
- Give directions (learn compound prepositions)
- Persuasion (I should have…)
- Discuss various topics
- Complete reading, listening and written tasks
- Describe things using the passive and impersonal patterns
- Talk about people and jobs using ‘sy’, ‘oedd’, ‘fydd’
- Express an opinion using ‘that’ (taw) + emphasis
- Use contractions (i + ei = i’w)
- Learn dates
- Learn how to say ‘this’, ‘that’, ‘these’, ‘those’
- Prepare for sitting the Intermediate level examination (optional)
