Entry Course Part 1

This course is suitable for individuals who are at the beginning of their language journey. Learners on this course do not need any experience of learning Welsh*. However, learners studying at Entry 1 level on a Learn Welsh course outside of Nant Gwrtheyrn can use the course as an opportunity to revise. By the end of the course you will be able to have a chat about everyday things such as ordering coffee and cake in a café, or asking for a drink in a pub. Learning Welsh at Nant Gwrtheyrn's unique location is a great opportunity for you to experience the Welsh language in a fully immersive environment. We encourage you to use the opportunities we have here on site to extend your skills by using the language, experience Welsh culture and to broaden your horizons as bilingual or multilingual individuals. *We will send an e-mail to all learners 12 weeks before the course with some videos etc. for you to watch in order to become somewhat familiar with the sound of the language and some simple patterns such as how to introduce yourself etc. before coming on the course. This will hopefully allow you to relax on your first morning on the course. The course will be held online over Zoom from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 16:00 with a tutor.
