Suitable for whom? For those learners who have completed the Higher Course 2 or who are familiar with the main language patterns and also, for those who want to prepare for the Higher level examination

Course format? 2 .5 hours a week (including weekly homework)

What will you learn?:

• Develop and improve your speaking skills
• Enjoy reading, watching and listening pieces which come from Welsh language books and magazines and from programmes on S4C and Radio Cymru
• Discuss themes (Welsh Magazines, Welsh Movements, Welsh Music, The Aberfan Disaster, Language Protests)
• Discuss hot topics
• ‘Knowledge of the Language’ tasks – paraphrasing, choosing the correct form, fill in the blanks
• Formal Welsh
• Using ‘sawl’ / llawer o
• ‘Newydd’ (just) + soft mutation
• Using ‘mawr angen’ / ‘gwir angen’
• Using ein / eich / ei gilydd
• Using ‘po’
• Clauses which use ‘y’
• Similar words
• Negative sentences
